How can I confirm the migration AD account has access to a user's destination mail file?
Answer
Open Outlook using the migration account's MAPI profile (not the user's account).
From Outlook Menu click:
Tools - Account Settings
Click 'Change'
Click 'More Settings..." button
Add the user to the migration profile. Close all open popup windows.
Click on the user's folder on left navigator
Open the Inbox and other folders, can you read the mail without receiving an access error?
If no, then your account does not have Full Access rights to the mail store.
Have your Exchange or AD admin grant the migration account Full Access rights all the user's mailboxes.
Once Exchange replicates this update, you can test opening the mailbox in Outlook.
You can test a migration once you are able to read a user's mailbox.
