NM: How does a migrated email from Notes to Exchange display sender name in Outlook? -
Description
Per my knowledge, migration engine writes the "display name" (or whatever it's called in Outlook Fields) in the mail item in Outlook - meaning when the user opens the migrated item in Outlook, there's no GAL Lookup : the sender name is displayed out of the stored field.
I think what we store for the "phrase" part of the address, is the CN of the first Lotus Notes Directory fullname for the sender.
Am I correct or does it only store the LegacyExchangeDN and the send name is resolved on the GAL upon 1st opening of the email in Outlook?

Resolution
The migration engine migrates the value from the name translation table, either the SMTP address, or the LegacyExchangeDN (proxy address). Exchange resolves the latter to the display name, not the migration engine. This can be proven by migrating the same data to a PST file. You will see the LegacyExchangeDN, and not a display name in all the migrated messages.
