Error received when attempting to connect to a RAC server instance:
"ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified".
Does Benchmark Factory support connections to a RAC server instance?
WORKAROUND:
Benchmark Factory versions 4.7.1 and below does not fully support RAC server instances. The current version of Benchmark Factory cannot distinguish between the different nodes in the RAC instance. However, Benchmark Factory should still be able to connect to the a RAC instance. In order for Benchmark Factory to successfully connect, the user must create a profile for every node in the cluster.
For example, if you have a server named ORADB with 2 instances on the two nodes named, ORA1 and ORA2, then you will need to create 2 separate profiles. One for ORA1 and a second profile for ORA2.

An enhancement request has been submitted to Development for consideration in future release for of Benchmark Factory.
