repository setup for BMF when migrating to new a machine -
Description
How do I connect to the Repository from new PC so I can see the reports using Benchmark Factory? is there any way to migrate scripts and JOBS from the old PC to the new one? -
Resolution
You just need to setup a Oracle ODBC Data source on the new PC and then tell BMF, via the Settings-Repository page, to use this DSN to connect to the repository. From that point on BMF will use the Oracle database as the repository on this new PC.To migrate the scripts and jobs just shutdown BMF on the old and new PCs, then copy the My Benchmark Factory directory from the old PC to the new PC. This will also bring over the profiles but the user will need to re-enter in the passwords.
