Enabling of EWS Trace for Archive Shuttle Modules (4293752)

Overview

Enabling of EWS Trace for some modules might be useful for further investigation of any EWS issues which are happening between Archive Shuttle and Office 365.

Prerequisites

• Access to Archive Shuttle UI
• Access to Archive Shuttle Module installation path

Details

EWS Trace logs are available for:

• Office 365 ingest module
• Shortcut Process module
• Exchange ingest module
• EV Collector module when using EWS

Steps

1. Navigate to \QUADROtech\Archive Shuttle Modules\
2. Choose the module you want to do the EWS Trace against
3. Backup the config file, i.e. ArchiveShuttle.Module.Office365.exe.config
4. Open ArchiveShuttle.Module.Office365.exe.config and edit the line from:

   to:

   or add the one with the value ‘true’, if it is missing in the file.

5. Save the config file
6. Restart the module services
7. Enable Trace log level via the Archive Shuttle GUI on the Modules screen for the module you did the change for

EWS Trace log entries will appear in module log files for the module you enabled the TraceMessages.
