After installing the Archive Manager website on a new Windows 2008 R2 x64 server you receive the error: '503 service unavailable' and you also notice that the Archive Manager Application Pool in IIS keeps going down.
Often accompanied by this error: "A process serving application pool 'ArchiveManager' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was '1308'. The data field contains the error number."
In specific situations an 'Uploads' folder may become unusable by .NET and therefore stop the Archive Manager Application Pool from running.
On the new web server, browse to C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\8dfb04ef\44bf70fb\ and rename the 'Uploads' folder to something else.
perform an IISRESET and test
Verify that the account running the Archive Manager Application Pool is a member of the local group IIS_IUSRS
If you are using the Debug Diagnostics Tool (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=26798) then you may also find these errors:
Message: A multi-lingual value with the ID 'panelResult' does not exist.
Message: Culture name 'uploads' is not supported.
