While using the PST Importer to import a PST into Archive Manager you may receive the error: "FileName.pst is not compatible with this version of the Personal Folders information service."
The PST in question may have been created with Exmerge.exe and Outlook is installed on the same machine as the PST Importer, or the PST was created with Outlook and ESM, EMC, or the CDO is on the same machine as the PST Importer.
Use the PST Importer on a machine with Outlook installed to import PST files that were created with outlook.
Use the PST Importer on a machine with ESM, EMC, or the CDO installed to import PST files that were created with Exmerge (or a 3rd party application)
Outlook should never be installed on the Archive Manager server.
