After upgrading to Exchange Server 2013, the Data Load Service and Exchange Store Manager Service started to fail.
The following errors were logged in the respective log files:
DL.log
ERROR Log.DataLoader [1749612380-1179854255-11-0x0] Failed to process MAPI
System.Exception: Unable to determine Exchange connection settings
ESM.log
ERROR FolderCrawler.Worker [3728856529-921715343-6-0x0] Error processing mailbox.
System.Exception: Unable to determine Exchange connection settings
Create an entry in the host file on the Archive Manager server for Exchange 2013 server.
For example:
Domain Name: companyA.com
Email Address: user1@companyA.com
The autodiscover address would be https://autodiscover.companyA.com.
Host file entry:
<IP Address> autodiscover.companyA.com
