Why are 0 Byte attachments still being displayed in the Assessment Tool output after installing Archive Manager Hotfix v 126.96.36.199?
It is entirely possible new zero byte attachments in Archive Manager would be displayed in the Assessment tool output. These, however will be legitimately zero bytes in size. This is due the fact the original cause of this issue was Archive Manager would save an attachment as zero if Exchange gave it an exception.
The 188.8.131.52 patch corrects this, as it now writes messages where an exception is generated saving the attachment to a separate "retry" area of the database, and the process will continue to retry these message on each pass until it is successful.
Messages in this "retry" area are not available in the main database i.e. they cannot be searched or seen by end users until they are complete
