Title
"Critical Error" when attempting to Save any value within the Retention Policies node -
Description
When you try to Add or Edit a Keep or Delete Policy, or Even change the Settings from Safe Mode to Production, any time you click Save you see "Critical Error" at the top of the screen in Red.Also, when running Developer Tools | Network Tab in Chrome, Internet Explorer or Firefox, you see Method "PUT" with result "404" for:
API/v1/retentionsettings.json -
Cause
"PUT" HTTP Verb is not allowed on the Web Server hosting the Archive Manager Website -
Resolution
1. From within Internet Information Services (IIS), click on the Archive Manager website.2. Open Request Filtering | HTTP Verbs tab
3. Click Edit Feature Settings...
Note: By Default in IIS "Allow unlisted verbs" is selected.
If "Allow unlisted verbs" is unselected, you will need to add each HTTP verb manually to ensure no issues arise when HTTP Verb calls are used.
4. Add the following:
GETHEADPOSTOPTIONSPUT5. Peform an IISReset from Command Prompt and try to Save a value within the Retention Policies node again.
