Opening archived email attachments results in a 'Error restoring part 1.1: Outlook Form: Error 500: HTTP 500 The file exists' error.

Cause
Temp folder is full and AM cannot generate any more tmp files. -
Resolution
Clear the contents of the ArchiveMgr_Service user's temp directory on the archive server running the website as well as c:\windows\temp.
Ensure there is plenty of free disk space on the drive on the archive server
