Agent Installation Prerequisite KB970770 -
Description
The AppAssure Agent installation reaches a standstill on prerequisite KB970770. When attempting to install KB970770, Windows says the hotfix only applies to Windows Vista. It may also say the hotfix does not apply to your system. -
Resolution
In order to successfully install the AppAssure Agent, please complete the following:
1. Uninstall the hotfix if it is already installed on your system:
Control Panel > Programs and Features > View Installed UpdatesIn the search field, enter the following: KB970770
> Uninstall
NOTE: Reboot is required to complete the uninstall.
2. Download and install the correct 64-bit or 32-bit version of the hotfix that applies to your system.NOTE: Reboot is required to complete the installation.
3. Run the AppAssure Agent installer and continue with the installation.
