Error loading recovery points in Repository -
Description
When the repository is doing a repository or Integrity check the following error is displayed:
"Error on the "Maintaining repository 'Repository 1'" task during “Loading the recovery points from repository 'Repository 1'"
An argument was out of range in code located in or called by 'RecoveryPointLoader.ReportDuplicates'" -
Cause
On the GUI the following error is displayed:
"Error on the "Maintaining repository 'Repository 1'" task during “Loading the recovery points from repository 'Repository 1'"
An argument was out of range in code located in or called by 'RecoveryPointLoader.ReportDuplicates'"In the logs the following information is found
System.Collections.Generic.List`1.get_Item(Int32 index)
at Replay.Core.Implementation.RecoveryPoints.RecoveryPointLoader.ReportDuplicates(List`1 volumeImages)
at Replay.Core.Implementation.RecoveryPoints.RecoveryPointLoader.OnLoadingTaskCompleted(Task`1 repositoryLoadTask) -
Resolution
On the affected Core:
- Stop the Core service gracefully as per How To Stop or restart the Core Service (4034348) (quest.com)
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\AppRecovery\Core\Repository Service and change the value of ClearDuplicates key to 1, if it does not exist then manually create it
- Start Core service, it will start check for duplicates at core start. If the check does not run automatically, you will need to run the manual repository check job
