Description
Snapshots fail on volumes with the following errors:
"blocks/changed GET failed: Service method call timed out after 00:01:40"
"Transfer error
-The transfer of one or more volume images from a protected machine to the Core failed:
•A call to a remote server timed out: Call to service method https://xxxx:8006/apprecovery/api/agent/transfer/snapshots/7c16f5e0-6017-49fb-87d3-8f88e826764f/volumes/~|~~|~%253f~|~Volume%257bace82d32-b211-11e0-ac34-6282d0460430%257d~|~/blocks/changed GET failed: Service method call timed out after 00:01:40.0381954" -
Cause
These errors occur when the AAFSFLT is unable to provide changed blocks to build the incremental snapshot. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND;
To resolve this issue, open an Elevated command prompt and run the following commands on the affected volume:- SC QUERY AAfsflt
- SC stop AAfsflt
- SC start AAfsflt
If the snapshot still fails after running the aforemention commands, restart the Agent machine to clear the cache on the AAFSFLT driver.
Once the agent comes back online, force a snapshot.
