How To Throttle Replication Under 1 MB/s -
Description
The core console does not allow Replication to be throttled lower than 1 MB/s (MegaByte per second). As outgoing internet bandwidth is measured in Mb/s (Megabits per second), even at the lowest setting of 1 MB/s, the outbound bandwidth will be 8 Mb/s. -
Cause
Due to lower WAN speeds, it may be necessary to throttle Replication below 1 MB/s. -

Example to throttle bandwidth to .5 MB/s which is equal to 512 KB/s or 4 Mb/s.- Open the registry and go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\AppRecovery\Core\Replication\ReplicationService
- Set MaxTransferSpeed to a decimal value of 524288
- NOTE: that this registry key reads the value in Bytes/second and will be treated accordingly. So it is possible to be extremely granular with the bandwidth throttling. For unlimited bandwidth, use a value of 0.
- All newly started replication jobs will run at the new speed.
