After upgrading to Active Administrator (AA) 8.9, we observed a change in the format of the Change Password Request Notification Summary email.
Prior to the upgrade, the email was presented in a well-structured table format, making it easy to read and review. User information such as Domain, User, Expired On, and User Notified was displayed in clearly separated columns.
Following the upgrade to AA 8.9, the summary email is no longer displayed in a table format. The information appears unstructured, which makes the email difficult to read and interpret compared to previous versions.
To improve readability, we introduced a change to the Administrator Summary Reports that groups users by manager. This sorting was added to help managers quickly identify their own employees and to assist administrators in determining which manager to contact if there are any issues or concerns.
We understand that this change is not acceptable. As such we have created an enhancement to allow user to choose to have the password reminder administrators email sent to them in the new format, or the old format. The enhancement to be considered for inclusion in a new version of Active Administrator is 651944.
