Active Administrator Console Crashes When Connecting Remotely to Services (4382968)

When performing certain actions within the console on a remote system, the console unexpectedly crashes. This occurs despite the Directory Logging being properly configured and the affected user having the necessary access permissions.

Testing across multiple configurations of Active Administrator 8.9 has confirmed an issue when connecting a remote Active Administrator console to an Active Administrator Services installation on certain operating systems.

This behavior has been identified as a product defect and is planned to be addressed in a future release. The defect has been logged under ID 622154.

Workaround:
As a temporary solution, it is recommended to use the Active Administrator console locally on the machine where the Active Administrator Services are installed. If remote access is required, connect to the server using Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) and launch the console from that system.

Update:
Active Administrator 8.9 Update 1 (8.9.1.9) is available and may include improvements related to this issue. Customers are encouraged to download and install the latest version:
