Copy the c:\windows\slagent folder from a DC where the Active Administrator agent was successfully deployed from the Active Administrator Console to the same location on a DC where the deployment process failed.
Open the AA.ini file (encrypted file.) String5 value is the name of the DC where the SLAgent folder was copied from. Must be changed to the current DC FQDN name.
Please contact technical support by dialing (800) 306 9329 and open an Active Administrator ticket.
Technical support has access to a decryptor/encryptor tool that can generate an encrypted value for the name of the DC.
Once obtained copy and paste this value over the current String5 value.
Save and exit the AA.ini file.
Open an elevated command prompt and change directory to c:\windows slagent.
Type out the following command. slagentsvc.exe -install and execute.
Open services.msc and change the runas account for the Active Administrator manually installed Agent to your Active Administrator service account. Key in the passwords. Verify startup mode is Automatic. Stop and restart the Active Administrator agent service.
Open the Active Administrator database within SQL Server Management Studio. Expand the database\Tables.
Edit the tblComputer table.
Look for the DC the Active Administrator agent was manually installed and configured.
Verify the IsInstalled value is True. If False change value to True. Also verify SAMEnabled value is also True. If False change value to True.
Close and restart the Active Administrator Console.
Confirm manually installed agents now appear in the Active Administrator Console | Auditing & Alerting | Agents.
