When updating Hyper-V templates, error is generated:
"The following error occured while retrieving the virtual machines or templates from [servername].
Object reference not set to an instance of an object. - Call Stacks - at
HvVmClone.HvVmService.GetTemplateVms()
..."
Issue has been traced to the corrupted VHD file in the storage.
OR
Administrative share for template location (e.g. d$) has been deleted
It's not possible to pinpoint which file actually causes such issue. Please move template file to other location on the storage and try to update templates again from vWorkspace Management console
Also make sure that the administrative share for the template location exists. E.g. For Drive D, make sure \\Servername\d$ exists.
If it does not exist, add the admin share from Computer Management | System Tools | Shared Folders | Shares
