Description
Caps Lock, CTRL and Shift key are out of sync on VDI/RDSH after RDP8 has been applied and vWorkspace Flash Redirection is enabled. -
Cause
Defect TFS283096

Resolution
Defect TFS283096 has been logged with the vWorkspace Development Team and will be resolved in a future release of vWorkspace.
WORKAROUND:
Disable Flash Redirection for the effected clients.
RESOLUTION:
A hotfix is available from Microsoft which may resolve this issue, pending further testing and feedback from vWorkspace customers: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2847932
We've found the MS solution doesn't work for most vWorkspace customers presently (November 2013) It may get updated with a better fix in the future.
The fix for now is:
1. Find a machine with RDP7 installed.
2. Take a copy of RDP7 Mstsc.exe and MSTSCAX.dll (We cannot attach these to this Solution as these are MS binaries)
3. Copy them to the RDP8 machine into the vWorkspace directory.
Eg: C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest Software\vWorkspace Client
4. Once this has been done, vWorkspace will use the RDP7 binaries and the MS bug will be avoided.
RDP8 will still work for normal MSTSC connections.
