vRanger: Configuring VSS Tools - Automated Method (video) -
Description
In addition to the standard quiescing implementation using VM ware Tools, vRanger provides an optional method for application quiescing, which uses a small executable tool (vzShadow.exe) deployed to the source VM and activated by VMware Tools during quiescing.
Note This method is available only for powered-on VMs running Windows 2008 (or newer). For VMs running older Windows operating systems, you will need to install vzShadow.exe manually.
