About Unified Communications Diagnostics

Unified Communications Diagnostics helps administrators detect problems in their messaging environment, accurately locate the root cause, and resolve the problems from a single, easy-to-use interface. It provides a robust and informed troubleshooting solution for Exchange, BlackBerry, Office Communications Server (OCS), Lync, Skype for Business, and Office 365.

UC Diagnostics monitors the following environments:

Exchange

Helps diagnose and resolve problems for your entire Microsoft Exchange server organization.

BlackBerry

Provides real-time representation of messaging system processes and components within your BlackBerry server and a messaging and collaboration server such as Exchange.

OCS/Lync/Skype for Business

Shows any issues with instant messaging (IM), presence, conferencing, and Voice-Over-IP (VoIP) in your integrated unified communications solution.

Office 365

Provides health tests to show Office 365 subscription status, to monitor connectivity for Exchange Online and Skype for Business Online, and to monitor message delivery for Exchange Online.

Management Console

The Management Console is an Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in that gives the overall picture of your servers. It helps you visualize and monitor the health of all your servers. It contains the following features:

The Diagnostic Console allows you to view one server at a time. It contains the following features:

Web Reports allow you to view trending and historical data using preconfigured and custom reports, graphs, and tables.
