How critical is the information inside RMAD.db3 and Backups.mdb files and how often these files need to be backed up?
These two files are are required for RMAD to operate but do not need to be managed by a DBA as they are SQLite files. Backing up these files along with the RMAD server is highly recommended, but loss of these files is NOT catastrophic. At worst, you would loose your RMAD Configuration settings (Computer Collections, Log paths, etc). You would need to manually register your RMAD backup files to a new install of RMAD, then recreate your computer collections and backup schedules.
RMAD.db3 changes each time you make a configuration change in the Recovery Manager Console.
Backups.mdb will have a record added each time a new backup is created. This happens one or more times when a backup job runs as each DC in the backup job would create a new backup. Similarly records are removed from this file as backups expire. The backup is only registered here, so the RMAD console knows where the backup files are located and information about what was backed up.
