Cursor jumps to end of field when editing SamAccountName
Problem Description
When renaming/editing the SamAccountName on the user mailbox account, after the first character edit, the cursor jumps to the end of the SamAccountName for each additional letter inserted.
Cause
This can occur when there are multiple polices enabled that controls the SamAccountName.
You may have a customer policy that indicates the attribute <edsaUPNPrefix> is equal to attribute <SamAccountName> enabled while the Built-In Policy - Default Logon Name is also enabled.
The Built-In policy indicates the <SamAccountName> is equal to the <edsaUPNPrefix>
Resolution
If you are using a custom policy in this manner, disable the Built-In policy.
